Dubai, Oct 8: India’s bowlers and all-rounders made significant gains in the latest ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings following a commanding innings-and-140-run victory over the West Indies in Ahmedabad.
Mohammed Siraj was among the biggest movers, taking seven wickets across both innings and climbing three places to 12th in the Test bowling rankings, achieving a career-best rating in the process. His pace-bowling partner Jasprit Bumrah maintained his position as the No. 1-ranked Test bowler, claiming three wickets in the match.

Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav also enjoyed a surge, rising seven spots to 21st after taking four wickets in the match.

On the batting front, veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reached a new career-high rating, jumping six places to 25th after his unbeaten century in the first Test.
Fellow batter KL Rahul, who also scored a century, moved up four places to 35th, while England’s Joe Root continues to dominate the top of the batter rankings.

In the all-rounders’ list, Jadeja further solidified his lead, while India’s Washington Sundar made notable progress, gaining four spots to reach 11th, inching closer to joining his senior teammate in the top 10.
