New Delhi, Oct 9: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district have found the body of Territorial Army soldier Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who had been reported missing after being abducted by terrorists.
Officials stated that Bhat’s bullet-riddled body was discovered in the Sanglan forest area of Utrasoo, Anantnag. It was then taken to a hospital for required medical procedures.
In the forest area of Anantnag, two Territorial Army soldiers were allegedly kidnapped by terrorists. While one soldier escaped, the other remained unaccounted for, prompting security forces to begin a search operation.

After Bhat went missing on Tuesday, security forces initiated an extensive search operation to find him.
“Based on intelligence input, a joint counter terrorist operation was launched by #IndianArmy alongwith @JmuKmrPolice & other agencies in Kazwan Forest #Kokernag on 08 Oct 24. Operation continued overnight as one soldier of Territorial Army was reported missing,” Indian Army’s Chinar Corps posted on X.
