Ranchi, Jan 12: Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, while speaking at the ‘Arts and Cultural Festival’ organized by the NGO Vikas Bharti Bishunpur at Arogya Bhawan in Bariatu, Ranchi, on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, highlighted the significance of this day. He noted that Swami Vivekananda, a source of inspiration for the youth, is honoured nationwide with the celebration of ‘National Youth Day.’

Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth was also present on the occasion.

Reflecting on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, the Governor remarked that his legacy remains a source of immense pride and respect for Mother India. He added, “Swami Vivekananda’s personality and ideas continue to inspire our society and serve as a guiding light for all of us.”

The Governor also spoke about Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech at the World Religious Conference in Chicago in 1893, which introduced the world to India’s rich culture and the universal message of humanity.

Quoting Swami Vivekananda’s famous words, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is achieved,” the Governor emphasized how this message motivates and empowers the youth.

Governor pats Vikas Bharti Bishunpur

Praising the efforts of Vikas Bharti Bishunpur, the Governor commended the organization for its ongoing dedication to societal development under the leadership of Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat. He highlighted the organization’s unique contribution to society and encouraged its members to continue working tirelessly for public welfare, guided by the spirit of selfless service.

The Governor also discussed various initiatives spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such as ‘Startup India,’ ‘Skill India,’ and ‘Make in India,’ which aim to empower the youth and foster self-reliance. He expressed confidence that the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) will be realized when young people channel their energy and creativity toward the nation’s progress.

In his concluding remarks, the Governor urged everyone to embrace the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and actively contribute to building a developed India.

During the event, the Governor also explored various products and exhibitions organized by Vikas Bharti Bishunpur.
