Swift police action rescues industrialist’s son; reunited with family in Jamshedpur


Jamshedpur, Jan 27:
In a swift and well-coordinated operation, the Jamshedpur police successfully rescued Kairav Gandhi and reunited him with his family in the early hours of Tuesday, around 4:30 a.m.

He was handed over to his relatives at their residence, ending an anxious wait. The family showed visible relief and later expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of the police administration.

City SP Shivashish Kumar said the case was accorded the highest priority from the outset due to its sensitive nature. Acting immediately on the information received, special teams were formed to conduct intensive technical surveillance, identify possible hideouts, and carry out continuous field operations.

He said timely decisions and seamless coordination among the teams played a crucial role in ensuring the safe recovery of Kairav Gandhi.

Family Expresses Gratitude

Expressing gratitude, Kairav’s father, Devang Gandhi, thanked the local police and the Jharkhand Police administration for their consistent support. He said senior officers remained in constant communication with the family throughout the operation, providing regular updates and reassurance during the tense period.

Round-the-Clock Police Effort

Police officials said the operation was executed under the effective leadership of the SSP, with the City SP and Rural SP working in close coordination. Multiple teams from the Jharkhand Police and local units worked around the clock, relying on technical evidence, credible inputs, and ground intelligence.

Their vigilance and sustained efforts ensured the mission concluded successfully without any untoward incident.

Police Appeal for Privacy

Following the rescue, the police administration appealed to the public and well-wishers to respect the family’s privacy and avoid gathering at their residence. Officials said the family, after enduring prolonged stress, wishes to spend private time together.
