Jamshedpur, April 16: Tata Motors has achieved the milestone of rolling out its 10 lakhth vehicle from its Lucknow manufacturing facility, marking steady growth and a shift towards sustainable mobility.
Milestone marked by electric bus
The 10 lakhth unit is a zero-emission electric bus, highlighting the company’s focus on clean and future-ready transport. The achievement also marks over 35 years of the plant’s presence in Uttar Pradesh, where it has contributed to industrial development since 1992.

Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, said the milestone reflects strong collaboration between industry and government, which is key to driving industrial growth, employment, and large-scale capability building.

Large-scale facility with sustainability focus
Spread across nearly 600 acres, the Lucknow plant has an annual production capacity of over one lakh vehicles and supports more than 8,000 livelihoods. It operates as a water-positive facility powered entirely by renewable energy and promotes skill development through training programmes.
The plant manufactures a wide range of cargo and passenger vehicles, including electric and fuel cell-powered models, reflecting the evolving mobility landscape in India.
