Jamshedpur, July 25: Tata Steel UISL hosted an ‘Appreciation Meet’ today at the Kudy Mohanty Auditorium in Kadma, to celebrate Jamshedpur’s outstanding achievement of securing 3rd position in the Swachh Survekshan 2024 under the 3–10 lakh population category and becoming Jharkhand’s first city to receive both the GFC 5-Star rating and Water+ certification.

The event was attended by over 200 participants, including civic officials, sanitation workers, supervisors and representatives from various stakeholder groups.

It served as a heartfelt recognition of the collective commitment and tireless efforts that have helped place Jamshedpur among India’s cleanest cities.

Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director, Tata Steel UISL, graced the occasion as chief guest.

In his address, he stated “This accomplishment is the result of consistent, dedicated efforts made each and every day. Moving upto 3rd place is a significant leap and a proud moment for Jamshedpur. To maintain this momentum, we must continue to focus on source segregation and nurture a culture of cleanliness in every citizen. Our sanitation workers are the true heroes of this journey.”

Everyone present in the function got photographed with the trophy.

The Appreciation Meet was marked by moments of pride and gratitude, with special acknowledgments to the sanitation teams whose relentless dedication has been the backbone of this success story.
