Tata Steel UISL unveils new water facilities in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 19:  Tata Steel UISL today inaugurated a modern 5 MLD Water Treatment Plant at Bhuiyandih and an Automated Water Supply System at the Central Water Tower in Bistupur.

The launch, led by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, and Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director, Tata Steel UISL, marks a major step toward achieving 100 % drinking water coverage in the city.

The Bhuiyandih plant will cater to around 4,500 households across underserved areas including Babudih Lalbhatta, Bhuiyandih, NML Colony, and Gwala Bustee.

Using pressure, sand filter and activated carbon filter technology, it promises safe, clean drinking water.

The Bistupur facility, with its automated water supply system, will enhance operational efficiency and ensure uninterrupted service to local residents.

Tata Steel UISL is encouraging citizens to apply for new connections in line with government guidelines to benefit from these upgrades.
