New Delhi, Dec 25: The cold wave continues in North India. The effect of the western disturbance is being felt across the region. There is ongoing snowfall in the mountains and rainfall in the plains. The temperature continues to drop.
Today, a significant drop in temperature was recorded in Ladakh, reaching minus 20 degrees Celsius. In Himachal Pradesh, the temperature has dropped to minus 10 degrees.
The temperature in Nyoma city of Ladakh was recorded at minus 20.3 degrees Celsius, and in Tabo, Himachal Pradesh, it was minus 10.6 degrees. In Baltistan Muzaffarabad of Kashmir, the temperature was minus 9.5 degrees.
In the plains, the temperature in Adampur, Punjab, was 4 degrees, and in Narnaul, Haryana, it was 5.2 degrees Celsius.

Temp. drops below zero in most parts of Himachal
According to the Meteorological Department, in the past 24 hours, the temperature in most areas of Himachal Pradesh has dropped below zero.
The lowest temperature was recorded in the tribal area of Tabo in Lahaul-Spiti district at minus 10.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Kaza at minus 6.9 degrees Celsius.
In Kukumseri, the temperature was recorded at minus 8.2 degrees Celsius. In Reckong Peo, Kinnaur district, the temperature was minus 0.9 degrees Celsius.
The temperature in Himachal’s capital Shimla was recorded at minus 2.0 degrees Celsius. In Kufri and Narkanda, the temperatures were 0.1 degrees Celsius and minus 2.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
In Kinnaur’s Kalpa, the temperature was minus 4.0 degrees Celsius, while in Dharamshala, it reached 5.02 degrees Celsius. As for Manali, the temperature there was minus 0.3 degrees Celsius.
