Ranchi, Dec 2: Two players from West Singhbhum district — Tanishk Kumar and Aditi Kumari — have secured spots in the National Junior Chess Championship scheduled to be held in Jamshedpur from December 16 to 24.

West Singhbhum District Chess Association (WSDCA) general secretary Basant Khandelwal confirmed that both players earned their places based on their exceptional performances in the State Junior Chess Championship.

Tanishk Kumar of Chaibasa, a Class 11 student with an international rating of 1809, had also qualified for the National Senior Championship earlier this year, where he delivered an impressive performance.
