New Delhi, July 31: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday revoked the provisional candidature of Puja Khedkar, who had been provisionally recommended in the Civil Services Examination-2022, and imposed a permanent ban on her from all future exams and selections.
The UPSC stated that it thoroughly reviewed the available records and determined that she was guilty of violating the rules of the CSE-2022.

The UPSC panel noted that Puja Khedkar received a Show Cause Notice on July 18 for exceeding the attempt limit by faking her identity. Despite extending the deadline to July 30 and emphasizing it as the final opportunity, she failed to respond within the given time.

Puja Khedkar faces allegations of misusing the disability and Other Backward Class (non-creamy layer) quotas to obtain her candidature in the civil services examination.
Earlier, the UPSC had said that the investigation found that Khedkar fraudulently exceeded the allowed number of attempts by altering her identity, including changing her name, her photo and signature, her parents’ names, her mobile number, email ID, and address.
