Jamshedpur, Dec 9: A passing Western Disturbance from the northern parts of the country impacted Jharkhand’s weather resulting in cloud and overcast conditions at several places.
IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain at isolated places today.
The Met Centre also issued an alert of moderate and dense fog in isolated places in the next 48 hours.
Weathermen said the minimum temperature would witness a 2-3 degree Celsius rise in the next 24 hours.
The Western Disturbance was today seen as a cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan between 3.1 Km and 4.5 Km above mean sea level with a trough aloft in mid-tropospheric levels with its axis at 5.8 Km above the mean sea level roughly along Long. 70°E and north of Lat. 30°N.
An induced cyclonic circulation lies over central Pakistan and Rajasthan extending upto 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
Met statistics revealed that the minimum temperature witnessed a rise in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Daltonganj and several other places today.
