Jamshedpur, Jan 13: A Western Disturbance passing through northern parts of the country impacted Jharkhand’s weather resulting in a rise in minimum temperature in most places today.
The minimum temperature rose to 12.4 degrees Celsius in the capital Ranchi today while Jamshedpur today recorded 11.4 degrees Celsius.
Daltonganj today recorded a minimum temperature of 14.3 degrees Celsius while Bokaro Steel City today notched 13.1 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD statistics, Gumla today recorded the state’s lowest minimum temperature of 9.9 degrees Celsius.
Chatra recorded a minimum reading of 12.6 degrees Celsius while Garhwa today recorded 13.7 degrees Celsius.
Temple town Deoghar today recorded a minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius while Hazaribagh recorded 12 degrees Celsius.
The Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation was hovering in Punjab and its neighbourhood between 3.1 and 9.4 Km above the mean sea level.
An induced cyclonic circulation over west Rajasthan lies over central parts of north Rajasthan and its neighbourhood extending upto 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from the night of January 14.
