Jamshedpur, Sept 10: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain and thundershowers across many parts of Jharkhand over the next few days.
According to the weather bulletin, rainfall activity is expected at several locations on September 10 and 11, while the outlook for September 12 also suggests wet conditions. On September 13, light to moderate showers are likely at many places across the state.
Meteorologists said the monsoon trough at mean sea level currently passes through a deep depression over southeast Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan and Kutch, extending across Kota, Orai, Siddhi, Ranchi, Digha, and further eastwards into the northeast Bay of Bengal.

In addition, an upper-air cyclonic circulation persists over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, off the Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coasts, between 1.5 Km and 5.8 Km above mean sea level, tilting southwards with height. This system is expected to enhance rainfall activity in Jharkhand and neighbouring regions.
