Dhanbad, March 26: The Department of Community Medicine at Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH), Dhanbad, has constituted a nine-member organizing committee for the upcoming 3rd Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM), Jharkhand State.
The two-day event, JHIAPSMCON 2025, is scheduled for Friday and Saturday and will focus on key medical issues.
Conference Aims to Promote Medical Discussions
An official from the host Community Medicine Department, SNMMCH, stated that renowned experts from different states will participate in the conference to discuss crucial medical topics. To ensure that the event is both impactful and memorable, significant efforts are being made in its organization.
“The Department of Community Medicine aims to train high-quality health professionals and community physicians. This conference will not only benefit SNMMCH but also doctors from all medical colleges across Jharkhand,” said Dr. R.R. Jha, Head of the Community Medicine Department.

IAPSM Jharkhand Office Bearers to Attend
Dr. Ravi Ranjan Jha, HoD, Community Medicine, confirmed that key office bearers from IAPSM Jharkhand Chapter are also expected to participate in the two-day conference. The list of attendees includes:
- President: Prof (Dr.) Vidyasagar (RIMS, Ranchi)
- Vice President: Prof (Dr.) Subhashish Sircar (SBMCH, Hazaribagh)
- Secretary: Prof (Dr.) Jarina Begum (TMCH, Jamshedpur)
- Joint Secretary: Dr. Abhishek Kumar
- Treasurer: Dr. Mithilesh Kumar (RIMS, Ranchi)
In addition to the office bearers, postgraduate students from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH), Jamshedpur, are also expected to attend the conference.
