Ranchi, Feb 22: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has not been allowed to attend the Jharkhand Assembly session. Jharkhand’s assembly session is going to start from 23rd February.
Filed application in PMLA court to attend assembly session
Regarding this Hemant Soren had filed an application in the PMLA court seeking permission to attend the assembly session.
He had requested the court to allow him to attend the budget session starting on February 23 but the PMLA court rejected Hemant Soren’s petition. Hemant Soren’s advocate had filed a letter in the court seeking permission.

Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan presented Hemant Soren’s side in the PMLA court. He said that the budget session is an important session, it is necessary for the former CM to be present as an MLA.
The Advocate General also gave the example of Dhulu Mahato and Nalin Soren who while in custody were allowed to attend the Assembly session.
Hemant was present in assembly during trust vote of Champai Soren
Earlier when the special session of Jharkhand Assembly was called, Hemant Soren had participated in it. At that time also he had sought permission from the PMLA court to attend the special session. After getting permission from the special court, Hemant Soren had participated in the trust vote of Chief Minister Champai Soren.
Currently Hemant Soren is in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail in the land buying and selling fraud case. Special Public Prosecutor Shiv Kumar alias Kaka ji argued this case on behalf of ED.
