Jharkhand: President Murmu urges students to work for India’s development at CUJ convocation

Ranchi, Feb 28: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, arrived in Ranchi today to attend the third convocation ceremony of the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ).

Chief Minister Champai Soren and Governor CP Radhakrishnan were also present in the convocation ceremony.

Addressing the convocation ceremony, Droupadi Murmu urged the students to work for a prosperous and developed India. She encouraged them to make a commitment to work for the development of India in whatever field they choose.

President highlights India’s youthful demographic and economic potential

Droupadi Murmu said that India is the youngest country in the world, where 55 per cent of the population is below 25 years of age. India has the fifth-largest economy in the world and is projected to be the third-largest economy by 2030.

She further stated that the government has set a goal to make India a developed country by 2047, so this is a golden opportunity for students and they should seize this opportunity accordingly.

Governor emphasizes societal contribution of students

Meanwhile, Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan said that it is not only the responsibility of students to build their careers, but also to contribute to the betterment of society.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren congratulated the students, saying that his government is working to encourage students for research and innovation. He mentioned that the government is also working to provide quality education.
