Jharkhand CM Champai Soren launches pension for 50-plus

Ranchi, March 6: Chief Minister Champai Soren launched the Sarvajan Pension Scheme for people aged 50 and more and transferred the first instalment to the accounts of 1.58 lakh tribal, Dalit, and women beneficiaries.

At a programme held at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, Soren said that the government is committed to improving all the Anganwadi centres in the state. ​

Anganwadi workers will get an honorarium of Rs 9500, and helpers will get Rs 4750 monthly.

Beautifying Jharkhand

The chief minister said that we are moving forward rapidly to beautify Jharkhand. “The protectors of water-forest-land and those who made sacrifices in the movement for a separate Jharkhand state are building the Jharkhand of their ancestors’ dreams,” he said.

“Maintaining the identity of the tribals and indigenous people here is our top priority. We will renovate Jharkhand as a state where all communities and classes will be respected. There will be no injustice to anyone. Everyone will get their rights,” he assured.

Foundation of Jharkhand 

The chief minister said that Jharkhand will progress only when its foundation is strong. “Keeping this in mind, basic economic, social, and educational systems are being strengthened here. The government specialises in ensuring that no one is discriminated against in society. The government is continuously trying to strengthen the last man of society,” he said.

Food, clothing and shelter for everyone

The chief minister said that food, clothing, and shelter are everyone’s basic needs. “In such a situation, the government has been continuously working towards fulfilling these needs of the people here,” he added.

“In this series, under the Abua Housing Scheme, 20 lakh poor, needy and homeless people are being given three-room houses,” he added.
