Ranchi, April 21: The top leaders of the INDI Alliance will stage a show of strength here today ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

The INDI alliance will sound the election trumpet in Jharkhand through Ulgulan Nyaya Maharally.

The leaders in the alliance claimed that five lakh people would participate in the Maharally, which will be held at Prabhat Tara ground.

Who all are participating?

According to the information received, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann have consented to participate in the Maha rally. Posters and banners regarding the Maharally have been put up in the city. In this, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Tejashwi Yadav, Dipankar Bhattacharya, Sanjay Singh, Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, Farooq Abdullah, Uddav Thackeray, Priyanka Chaturvedi, besides Chief Minister Champai Soren, Hemant Soren’s wife, Kalpana Soren along with state-level leaders included in the INDI alliance. will be present.

In addition, the declared candidates of the INDI alliance for the Lok Sabha elections will also participate in the Maharally.

CM Champai Soren

Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, who took stock of the preparations for the Ulgulan Nyaya Maharally on Saturday, said that after the arrest of Hemant Soren, Nyaya Yatra was carried out in the state for one and a half months. “Dictatorship has taken over the country. This has to be stopped at all costs. Democracy and the Constitution have to be saved,” he said, adding that what happened in Jharkhand and Delhi is well known. “Those who were given a mandate by the public were destabilised. Due to this conspiracy of the BJP, there was a leadership change in Jharkhand. Now, the time for Ulgulan has come,” he maintained.

Tight security arrangements

The police administration has deployed 1500 additional forces regarding the Ulgulan rally. Parking arrangements have also been made at the meeting venue for vehicles from different districts. Also, 500 traffic police have been deployed at various intersections for traffic management.
