New Delhi, May 17: In relation to an alleged assault on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, Bibhav Kumar, an aide of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, did not appear before the National Commission for Women (NCW) on Friday.
Bibhav Kumar was summoned by the NCW to be present at 11 a.m. on Friday.
According to NCW chief Rekha Sharma, Kumar was not at home when a commission team went to his house on Thursday to serve him with a notice.
“Kumar’s wife refused to receive the notice. My team has gone to his residence again today with police and if he does not appear (before NCW) by tomorrow, then I will go (to his residence),” Rekha Sharma stated.

Police officials reported that on Monday morning, Maliwal visited the Civil Lines police station in New Delhi and claimed that a member of Kejriwal’s personal staff had assaulted her at the official residence of the Chief Minister.
The NCW took suo moto cognizance of the matter in which Maliwal alleged that Kumar brutally assaulted her at the Chief Minister’s residence.
On Thursday, the Delhi Police registered an FIR regarding the alleged assault on Maliwal, naming Kumar as an accused in the case, according to officials.
