Ranchi, Nov 13: Eyes of over 2.34 lakh miners including Jharkhand-based Central Coalfield Limited (CCL), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Eastern Coalfield Limited (ECL) are set on a crucial meeting of the Standardization Committee scheduled to be held in Delhi tomorrow.

The meeting has been called for the execution of the NCW-11 agreement but miners-related other issues will be also discussed in it.

Senior trade union leader and JBCCI (Joint Bipartite Committee for the Coal Industry) alternative member of All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) Lakhan Lal Mahto said that tomorrow’s meeting in Delhi keeps special significance for miners as besides the execution of the NCW-11 agreement, issues like the social security scheme of miners, Monthly Monitory Compensation (MMC) fixation after death, order on minor daughter of miners ‘Ladli Yojna’ will be discussed.

The meeting will be held without the participation of one of the leading trade unions of the country, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), the labour organization of the Congress Party.

The Coal India Limited (CIL) management has debarred Congress’ INTUC representatives due to a factional feud in the organization. The CIL circular said the representation of  INTUC has been kept vacant till resolutions over its factional disputes are taken.

The trade union representatives who have been invited to the meeting are  Ramendra Kumar (AITUC), DD Ramanandan (CITU); H Ghurde and Mazrul Huque Ansari ( BMS); Nathulal Pandey and Shiv Kant Pandey (HMS).

CIL director (personnel and industrial relations) Vinay Ranjan will chair the meeting tomorrow. Besides Vinay Ranjan,  Keshav Rao  (DP  MCL),  Harshnath Mishra  (DP Central Coalfield Limited),  Shankar Nagachari (DT CMPDIL),  Manish Kumar (DP NCL),  Ahuti Swain (DP Eastern Coalfield Limited ), Murlikrishan Ramaiah (DP Bharat Coking Coal Limited), Debasis Acharyya  (DP SECL), Jai Prakash Dwivedi (DP WCL), N Balram  (DP  SCCL),  Goutam Banerjee (GM CIL)  will represent the management.
