THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Ranchi, July 17: Union Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Election İncharge of Jharkhand Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed Abhinandan cum Vijay Sankalp Sabha in Hatia Assembly of Jharkhand on Wednesday.

During this, Chouhan said that today is not the day to welcome leaders but the day to honour workers. The workers of Bharatiya Janata Party are the foundation stones and the party gets strength from the workers only.

At the same time, Chouhan said, “I am not a guest, I am an uncle and brother, a member of your family. We all are one family, so we have to work with cohesion. In the coming assembly elections, the government of dishonest people has to be uprooted and Jharkhand has to be saved”.

Crime at its peak in Jharkhand

Shivraj Singh Chouhan attacked the Hemant Soren government, stating that the Soren administration has reached the pinnacle of corruption in Jharkhand. He claimed that new definitions of corruption are being created daily in the state, and the people are suffering due to scams and corruption.

Chouhan said that crime in Jharkhand is also at its peak. Citing NCRB statistics, he revealed that over the past four and a half years, there have been 7,812 murders, 7,115 rapes, 6,937 kidnappings, 8,592 riots, 2,721 robberies, 485 dacoities, and 273,261 major crimes.

He mentioned incidents like the brutal killing of a girl named Rubika, where her body was cut into 50 pieces and scattered, highlighting the level of brutality under this government.

He criticized the government for failing to protect the honour of sisters and daughters and allowing their humiliation.

Moreover, he accused the government of allowing infiltrators to marry tribal girls, usurp land, and even contest elections in their name.

What did people get from the Soren government?

Chouhan said that before the elections, the coalition government made hundreds of promises to the public, but delivered nothing.

They promised 500,000 jobs, but jobs only appeared on billboards. They vowed to provide an unemployment allowance of 5,000 rupees for graduates and 7,000 rupees for postgraduates, but neither jobs nor the allowance materialized.

They pledged to give 2,000 rupees as household expenses to poor sisters, but in five years, they didn’t receive anything. They promised loans of 50,000 rupees to women without a guarantee, just with an Aadhaar card, but not a single sister received a loan to date. They promised to open a farmer’s bank, but no such bank was opened anywhere. Instead, they took away from the people of Jharkhand.

Under the BJP government, farmers with up to 5 acres of land received 5,000 rupees per acre, but the Soren government took this away as soon as they came to power. During the BJP government, property worth up to 5o lakh rupees purchased in the name of sisters and daughters was registered for just 1 rupee. They took that away from the sisters too.

The Soren government didn’t give anything; they took everything away. He said that when he visited the houses being built under the Prime Minister’s Jan-Man Yojana, the sisters there told him that the Prime Minister sent the money, but they weren’t getting sand. Sand was being sold by the kilo, weighed and rationed. They even consumed the sand.

“What did the people of Jharkhand get? They got looted in mining, sand theft, and corruption. Mining was such that entire mountains disappeared. This is what Jharkhand received”, he said.

This election is about saving Jharkhand

Chouhan further said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent crores of rupees here so that every household gets drinking water through tap pipes, but I want to ask you, my sisters and brothers of Jharkhand, tell me, did you get water from the tap after laying the pipeline? Hemant Soren’s government even ate the money meant for water.”

Chouhan mentioned that it is said Kumbhakarna used to sleep for six months and stay awake for six months, during which he only ate. He compared the coalition partners to Kumbhakarna, claiming they not only consume food but also devour sand, minerals, and mountains. They consume the funds sent by the central government and even the houses of the poor. He accused them of ruining Jharkhand.

Chouhan warned that if this coalition government continues for another five years, Jharkhand will not survive. Therefore, he emphasized that this election is about saving Jharkhand, preserving the honour of its people, and protecting its culture and identity.

Resolution for grand victory

Shivraj Singh Chouhan further said, “After this victory in Lok Sabha elections, worker sisters and brothers, we have to take a resolution of grand victory in the assembly elections of Jharkhand. The resolution is not of victory but of grand victory and this is necessary. It is necessary because we have to save Jharkhand, which is dearer to us than our lives. Victory is necessary because we have to save the people from destruction. Victory is necessary because foreign intruders are illegally entering the government and if this government comes to power again, then we should accept that the natives of this place will become a minority.”

“We cannot let the identity of Jharkhand be tampered with in the greed for votes and that is why danger is looming in front of us. We have to save Jharkhand, we have to save our culture, we have to save our life values, we have to save our traditions and that is why if any government comes to power in Jharkhand now, it will be only the government of Bharatiya Janata Party,” he added.

Modi Ji is a remarkable leader

Chouhan stated that PM Modi is an extraordinary and unprecedented leader. “For the first time in 62 years, someone has become Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. The trust among the public in Modi Ji’s work, their belief in his guarantee, and their devotion and faith towards him have led to the BJP and NDA forming the government for the third time”, he said.

“In Jharkhand, the BJP won 9 out of 14 seats. The BJP was ahead in almost 50 out of 81 seats, while the opposition was content with just 99. Rahul Gandhi got a small victory and turned it into a big deal, but you can stay happy with your 99 forever. Those who lost seem to be content, but the true victory belongs to the NDA, the Bharatiya Janata Party, Narendra Modi, and millions of workers”, he added.
