Jamshedpur, July 29: Light to moderate rain would be experienced by many places today, said a bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected at isolated places over the state.

An alert of heavy rainfall was issued  for isolated places over South-western, central and adjoining north parts of the state tomorrow, July 31.

The cyclonic circulation over north Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood now lies over the same region and extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Kota, Damoh, Pendra Road, Balasore and thence southeastwards to east central Bay of Bengal and extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
