Union Bank of India employees on dharna before Ranchi GM office

Ranchi, Nov 16: The employees of Union Bank of India today held a massive demonstration before the office of Ranchi Circle’s General Manager in support of their seven-point long pending demands.

The staff of all 173 branches of the state under the banner of Union Bank Employees Association of Jharkhand led by general secretary  ML Singh reached Ranchi Circle General Manager’s office and sat on dharna after a demonstration.

ML Singh on the occasion while addressing the dharna sabha said that employees are compelled to hold demonstrations and go on strike on (November 23) as management has been sitting on genuine demands for a long time.

 

He said that the main demands are the regularization of the job of temporary and casual staff and their posting on vacant posts, an immediate moratorium on unfair labour practices in branches, immediate withdrawal of orders of transfer and deputation of employees and minimum wage payment to temporary and casual staff as per guidelines of central and state government.

Employees body leaders Shankar Dayal, Gopal Chandra Tiwari, Vijay Ekka, K R Choudhary, Abhijeet Mallick, RK Jaiswal, Ramji Singh, Manish Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Mohan Lal Arora, Firoj Alam, Asim Mukherjee also addressed to demonstrators.
