Jamshedpur, July 30: DBMS English School hosted a two-day Art and Craft Exhibition, Shilp Kala 2024, on Monday and Tuesday. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Members of the School Managing Committee, Principal Rajani Shekhar, and Vice Principal P.K. Sahu.

The exhibition featured an eclectic array of artistic creations made by students from Std I to VIII. Highlights included intricately crafted clay sculptures of vegetables and fruits, and innovative exhibits made from recycled materials like nut seeds and bottles.

Traditional Lippan and Warli art forms showcased the students’ exceptional artistic flair, while vibrant torans and wall hangings made from wool, jute baskets, and paper dolls added a kaleidoscope of colours to the inspiring display.

Additionally, the extensive collection of canvas paintings, characterized by striking colours and evocative imagery, left viewers in awe of their beauty. Parents and students turned up in large numbers to encourage the hard work of the students.

The creativity of the budding artists was further enhanced by a gamut of fine arts like music and dance, performed live at the school auditorium. These performances added an additional appeal to the event, reinforcing the fact that young minds, like raw, unpolished diamonds, can dazzle with their sheer brilliance and dexterity when nurtured appropriately.

Shilp Kala 2024 not only celebrated the artistic talents of DBMS English School’s students but also highlighted the importance of creativity and cultural heritage in shaping young minds.
