Jamshedpur, August 1: Some isolated places in Jharkhand are expected to experience heavy rainfall today, predicted weathermen at IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
Thunderstorms and lightning are also likely at isolated places over the state today.
According to weathermen, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over north-eastern, southern and adjoining central parts of the state today.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Ganganagar, Hissar, Delhi, Hardoi, Dehri, Purulia, Sagar Island and thence east-southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal.
The cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand and its neighbourhood was today lying over Gangetic West Bengal and its neighbourhood extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.
Heavy rainfall is also expected at isolated places over north-eastern, south-western and adjoining central parts of the state tomorrow, August 2.
