Jamshedpur, August 6: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre predicted light to moderate rain at most places across Jharkhand today.
Weathermen said the monsoon was active over the state.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Phalodi, centre of the depression over northeast Rajasthan and neighbourhood, Churk, Purulia, Digha and thence southeastwards to east-central Bay of Bengal.

The east-west trough was running from the depression over northeast Rajasthan and neighbourhood to north Odisha between 0.9 and 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height.
According to weathermen, the day’s temperature in most parts of the state is expected to witness a two-degree fall in the next 48 hours.
Jharkhand’s rain deficit as of today stood at 19 %. Against a normal of 559 mm the state has so far received 445 mm of rain.
