Jamshedpur, August 6: Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) has set a new benchmark in medical education in Eastern India with the inauguration of the Anatomage Table, a state-of-the-art virtual dissection platform. This pioneering technology marks a significant advancement in anatomy education, offering students an immersive and interactive learning experience.

3D representation of human body

The Anatomage table is revolutionizing anatomical studies by providing a highly detailed 3D representation of the human body. Unlike traditional methods, this advanced platform allows students to explore the human anatomy layer by layer, from surface structures to microscopic details. Its interactive dissection and imaging capabilities offer a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and physiology.

Chief Guest Ajoy Kumar Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary of Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare, highlighted the importance of this new technology. “The Anatomage table represents a revolutionary tool in medical education, enhancing practical training and preparing future healthcare professionals with the latest technological advancements,” Singh said. He emphasized how this innovation will elevate the standards of medical education in Jharkhand and produce highly skilled doctors.

Prof. (Dr.) Raj Kumar, Director & CEO of RIMS, Ranchi, and Guest of Honor, praised the installation of the Anatomage table, noting its significance in medical training. “Anatomy is fundamental to medical education. The introduction of the Anatomage dissection table is a boon for both students and teachers. It offers a detailed 3D visualization of the human body, which is crucial for understanding anatomical relationships and planning surgical procedures.”

The Dean of MTMC expressed excitement about the addition of the Anatomage Table, describing it as a major enhancement to the college’s educational resources. “With our dedicated faculty and advanced infrastructure, the Anatomage Table will bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enriching anatomical education and other medical subjects,” he said.

Students also welcomed the new technology. The President of the Student Council at MTMC commented, “Anatomy is one of the most challenging subjects in the first year, requiring extensive visualization. The Anatomage Table will significantly enhance our understanding and provide a modern, interactive approach to learning.”

The inauguration ceremony was attended by distinguished members of the district and MTMC officials, with Ajoy Kumar Singh and Prof. Raj Kumar leading the proceedings. The introduction of the Anatomage Table underscores Manipal Tata Medical College’s commitment to innovation and excellence in medical education, providing students with cutting-edge tools to excel in their future careers.
