Jharkhand CM transfers Rs 73.29 crore in  bank accounts of over 7 lakh women

Ranchi, Aug 27: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today transferred Rs 73.29 crore as honorarium through DBT to the accounts of over 7 lakh women in six districts of Santhal Pargana.

Addressing the Santhal Pargana division-level programme of the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana at Panjanpahadi, Jama block of Dumka district, Soren said the scheme will strengthen and empower half the population

“Participation of women is necessary in every situation for the development of the state. This is the reason why our government is committed to empowering half of the population. Our government is working to bring smiles to the faces of women through various schemes,” he added.

Government at the doorsteps

The chief minister said that 4 years ago, there were many villages where people had never seen the block office. “Those who did not even have any information about the DC-SP office. Today the entire government is reaching their doorsteps. In the villages where there is no way to go; where there is no facility of transportation, today BDO-CO, DC-SP and secretaries of departments are reaching there and not only listening to their problems but also solving them,” he

Alternative agriculture

The chief minister said that the government has come up with many schemes to make farmers financially strong. Especially the kind of change in weather that is being seen today, farmers need to come forward for alternative agriculture apart from traditional farming. He said that there are many schemes like Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Didi Bari Yojana and Chief Minister Pashudhan Yojana, by which farmers can increase their income.
