Dhanbad, Sept 14: Young tech enthusiasts from BIT Sindri received high praise from experts during the Smart India Hackathon (SIH), organized by the official Coding Club, HnCC, in collaboration with the Institution of Innovation Council (IIC).
A total of 40 teams of budding tech talent participated in this internal hackathon, tackling real-world problems across a variety of sectors. The organisers noted that the hackathon provided students with an opportunity to address challenges in fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainability, and smart city development.
“The Hackathon gave every team a chance to contribute something distinct—whether it was an innovative app for farmers, a groundbreaking healthcare solution, or a novel approach to making urban areas more intelligent and eco-friendly,” said a senior faculty member of BIT Sindri.

Real-time problem solving and presentations
The participating teams were required to present their ideas and solutions through a slide presentation before a panel of expert judges. Each team was allotted five minutes to present their solutions and summarize their approach, followed by counter-questions from the judges.
The competition tested the participants’ real-time problem-solving skills and their ability to think on their feet.
“The HnCC Hackathon and Coding Club’s Internal Hackathon for SIH 2024 was a resounding success. Young tech enthusiasts of the institute showcased their talent and received significant appreciation from the experts. With the event’s conclusion, the focus now shifts to the next stages of the Smart India Hackathon, where these innovative ideas will continue to shape the future of technology,” said the organizers.
