Jamshedpur, September 19: The Sikh community has voiced strong condemnation against Rahul Gandhi’s recent statements made in America.

During a press conference held today, prominent Sikh leaders emphasized that the Congress party’s history of offending the Sikh community is well-documented, citing incidents such as Operation Blue Star and the 1984 anti-Sikh riots as particularly egregious.

Gurvinder Singh Sethi, Navjot Singh Alang Rubal, Harvinder Singh Bedi, Gagandeep Singh Sethi, Tejendra Singh from Hatia Gurudwara, Charanjit Singh, Jagjit Singh, Ranjit Singh Bittu, Ashmit Singh Sethi, and Maninder Singh were among those present at the press conference.

They called for an official apology from Rahul Gandhi for his comments, which they believe further inflame historical grievances.

In contrast, the leaders praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts to honor and respect the Sikh community.

They highlighted his initiatives, including declaring December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas, opening the Kartarpur Sahib corridor, respectfully transporting the holy form of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to Afghanistan, and celebrating Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th birth anniversary worldwide.
