Jamshedpur, Sept 21: A weak monsoon would result in light rain in few places across the state today, said a forecast issued by Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Jamshedpur, Digha and thence southeastwards to east central Bay of Bengal.
A cyclonic circulation has formed over west central and adjoining south west Bay of Bengal between 3.1 Km and 5.8 Km above the mean sea level.

An upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over north Andaman Sea and its neighborhood today.
It is likely to move northwestwards, thereafter. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over northwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal around September 23.
Weathermen said thundershowers and lightning are also expected at a few isolated places on Sunday and Monday.
