Ranchi, Oct 8: Appointment letters for youth, honours for talented students, recognition for schools with excellence in education, and foundation stone laying for three new schools inspired by Netarhat School, Chief Minister Hemant Soren once again set a precedent in the education sector by presenting multiple gifts at a ceremony organized by the School Education and Literacy Department at the Jharkhand Secretariat.

CM boosts morale of talented students

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister handed appointment letters to 76 newly appointed individuals, including 35 Law Executives, 4 Executive Engineers, 21 Assistant Engineers, and 10 School Managers for the Jharkhand Education Project Council. Additionally, 6 appointment letters were provided to candidates for the Jharkhand Bhawan in New Delhi, the Cabinet Secretariat, and the Monitoring Department, wishing them success as they join the government as integral members.

The Chief Minister also reiterated the commitment to develop Jharkhand as a centre of excellence in education by virtually laying the foundation for school buildings in Khuntpani (Chaibasa), Nawadih (Bokaro), and Masalia (Dumka), inspired by the model of Netarhat Residential School.

The event was further distinguished by the Chief Minister’s recognition of 60 schools that achieved Gold status in school certification. He honoured the toppers of the 10th and 12th board examinations conducted by JAC, CBSE, and ICSE for the years 2023 and 2024, as well as the winners of the Jharkhand Olympiad – 2023, encouraging their spirit and dedication while wishing them a bright future.

You are becoming the wheel of comprehensive development for the state: CM

The Chief Minister addressed the candidates receiving appointment letters, stating that from today, they are joining the government as integral members. He emphasised that they are becoming the wheel of comprehensive development for the state.

The Chief Minister expressed his confidence that they will play a crucial role in guiding the state toward a better direction through their work.

This is not an award, but an incentive fund: CM

While honouring the meritorious students, the Chief Minister stated that they are not receiving an award today, but rather an incentive fund to help them pursue quality education.

He noted that the scope of such support was previously limited, but now it includes toppers from all boards, in addition to the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC). The government’s objective is to provide a new direction to the education of its talented students.

Jharkhand should be recognized not just for mineral wealth but also for talent: CM

He further said that Jharkhand is generally recognised for its mineral resources. However, the government is working towards establishing a distinct identity for the state as a hub of talent, whether in education, sports, or any other field. The government is committed to empowering education in this endeavour.

Govt to expand scope of the overseas scholarship scheme

The Chief Minister announced that under the Marang Gomke Jaypal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship Scheme, the government is providing students from the region with opportunities for higher education abroad. Currently, the number of students benefiting from this scheme is limited. However, in response to student requests, the government will soon make a policy decision to expand the scope of the scheme, ensuring that more students can take advantage of it.
