MMCH girl medico donates blood for tribal woman

Daltonganj, Oct 15: A 22-year-old girl medico of MMCH Daltonganj identified as Barsha Veronica Nayak created a sort of history when she responded to an appeal made by Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Kumar for one unit of A+ group blood, rushed to the hospital and donated blood.

A particularly vulnerable tribal group Parhaiyya woman Pinki Devi, 26, of Manatu block was in dire need of an A+ group of blood.

Sources said the civil surgeon flashed a message for A+ group blood.

This Barsha Veronica Nayak showed courage and donated one unit of blood of A+ group.

She has been hailed by Medical Superintendent Dr Dharmendra Kumar and others.

Speaking to this correspondent, the girl said, “I can easily recognise you. It’s a pleasure. I am fine.”
