Dhanbad, Nov 2: All six official candidates of the INDI Alliance contesting for the six assembly seats in Dhanbad held a joint press conference today at the Sahjanand Saraswati Trust conference hall in City Centre, where they expressed confidence in their victory.

Candidates unite for a common goal

The conference featured prominent candidates, including Congress Jharia candidate Purnima Niraj Singh, JMM Tundi candidate Mathura Prasad Mahto, Congress Dhanbad Sadar candidate Ajay Dubey, CPIML Nirsa candidate (former MLA) Arup Chatterjee, Congress Baghmara candidate (former MLA) Jaleshwar Mahto, and CPIML Sindri candidate Babloo Mahto.

For the first time, they appeared together, asserting that the INDI Alliance would secure all six seats in Dhanbad by a record margin.

Reflecting on last election

In the 2019 assembly elections, the NDA (BJP) won four seats, while the then-Mahagatbandhan, consisting of Congress, JMM, and RJD, won two seats—Jharia and Tundi. The upcoming elections in Dhanbad are scheduled for the second phase on November 20.

A call for collaboration

During the press conference, district presidents and senior office bearers from all alliance partners were also present. Purnima Niraj Singh, the Jharia MLA, urged leaders from all parties to collaborate in the elections and achieve the mission of winning all six seats in Dhanbad.

CPIML candidate Chandradeo Mahto, known as Babloo Mahto and the son of veteran leader and former Marxists Coordination Committee MLA Anand Mahto, emphasized the need for the return of the INDI Alliance government to ensure a prosperous Jharkhand. He stated that this goal could only be achieved through unity and collaboration.

Other candidates, including Arup Chatterjee from CPIML, Mathura Prasad Mahto from JMM, and Ajay Dubey from Congress, also highlighted the importance of working together for their common cause.
