Ranchi, Nov 10: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) star campaigner Kalpana Soren today questioned the tribal and backward leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) why they are silent about Jharkhand’s dues of Rs 1,36,000 crore.
Addressing a public meeting organised in favour of Sanjib Sardar in the Potka assembly constituency, Kalpana expressed displeasure over the silence of the BJP’s Jharkhand leaders and said, “BJP’s tribal leaders do not have the courage to ask the Central Government for Jharkhand’s dues.”
Kalpana Soren raised strong questions on the atrocities against tribal women in Manipur and sought clarification from the BJP government at the Centre. She asked, “Why is the central government silent on this atrocity against tribal women in Manipur?” Along with this, mentioning the heinous act done on a tribal youth in Madhya Pradesh, she questioned the BJP as to why it does not speak against such atrocities.
