Jamshedpur, Dec 2: The Sarkar Yoga Academy (Kadma) is set to organize the ‘Fourth Open Jharkhand Sit and Draw Competition’ on December 7 at the Kerala Public School (KPS) campus in Kadma. Additionally, the Academy will host the ‘Fifth Open Inter-School Avasam Yoga Championship’ at the same venue, promising a day filled with creativity and health-focused activities.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with an inauguration by Chief Guest Sharat Chandran, Director of KPS, and Special Guest Satish Ganpati, Tata Steel Equipment Maintenance Head.

The closing ceremony, scheduled for 6 p.m., will feature Dr. Ashok Kumar Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor of Amity University Jharkhand and Advisor of Amity University Kolkata, as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries, including KPS Director Academics Lakshmi R and KPS Kadma Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, will also be in attendance.

According to International Yoga Guru Anshu Sarkar, the founder of Sarkar Yoga Academy, the competition will be conducted across 11 groups, welcoming participants as young as four years old, as well as senior citizens.

Participants can freely draw pictures of their choice. The top 10 winners in each group will be awarded, with consolation prizes and certificates for all participants. Notably, 334 awards will be distributed, including two special titles: Junior Artist of the Year (Jharkhand) and Senior Artist of the Year (Jharkhand).

The yoga championship will feature six groups, with no age restrictions for participants. Students from 20 schools and several colleges are expected to compete, showcasing their skills in various yoga disciplines.
