Mumbai, Dec 4: Devendra Fadnavis, acting CM Eknath Shinde, and NCP leader Ajit Pawar arrived together at Maharashtra’s Raj Bhavan today and presented their claim to form the government before Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan.
They submitted a letter of support from the legislators to the Governor, who approved their request to form the government
BJP leader Vinod Tawde, Nirmala Sitharaman, and former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani were also present with them.
According to reports, Devendra Fadnavis will take the oath as Chief Minister tomorrow, Thursday. The swearing-in ceremony will be held in the evening at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan, and PM Modi is also expected to attend.
BJP’s central observer for Maharashtra, Vijay Rupani, stated that the Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers will take their oaths during the ceremony.

Devendra Fadnavis was elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party today in the presence of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Vijay Rupani. After this, a meeting of the Maha Yuti was held at Eknath Shinde’s residence, where NCP’s Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis were present.
After the meeting, the three leaders went to Raj Bhavan and presented their claim to form the government before Governor.
After receiving the invitation from the Governor, Maharashtra’s appointed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told the journalists that they met with the Governor and submitted a letter of support to claim the formation of the government in the state. The Governor has invited them for the swearing-in ceremony tomorrow at 5:30 PM.
He also mentioned that the positions of CM and Deputy CM are merely technical roles, and that they will all work together for the betterment of Maharashtra. The decision regarding other ministers will be made in upcoming meetings.
