“The tussle between Alok Bhagat and Akash Singh was running for a considerable time. On the occasion of Kali Puja, the duo had clashed during the idol immersion. Then only Akash Singh had decided to avenge the enmity and had started conspiring to kill him,” the senior SP said while briefing the newsmen on Friday.
Kishore Kaushal said on Wednesday morning, Alok Bhagat was attacked when he was returning home having bought flowers from the market for performing Puja.
“It was Akash Singh who had first shot at Alok. As soon as he sustained the shot he tried to save himself by running into a house. But Vishal and Shakti chased him and fired more shots by entering into the house. After that the attackers fled the spot on bikes,” the senior police officer elaborated.
Kishore Kaushal said one more accused is to be arrested, adding that the police are carrying out raids for this.
