Ranchi, Dec 30: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has instructed officials to create an effective action plan for developing eco-tourism in Jharkhand.
During a meeting with Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Forest and Environment Secretary Abu Bakar Siddiqui, and Tourism Secretary Manoj Kumar at the Jharkhand Ministry, the Chief Minister provided key suggestions to explore and develop eco-tourism opportunities in the state.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Jharkhand has immense potential for eco-tourism and called for its development in a way that both preserves nature and generates employment for residents. He urged the Forest and Tourism Departments to work in close coordination to identify areas in the state with high potential for eco-tourism.
Special Focus on Tourism Promotion Schemes
The Chief Minister directed officials to give particular attention to schemes promoting eco-tourism in the state. He stated that such initiatives would not only enhance Jharkhand’s natural beauty but also give the state a distinct identity at the national and international levels.

He advised the officials to study successful eco-tourism models implemented in other states or countries to adopt best practices. Additionally, he stressed that both the Forest and Tourism Departments should work with dedication to place Jharkhand on the global tourism map.
“Our government is committed to developing world-class eco-tourism in the state,” the Chief Minister affirmed. He added that the development of eco-tourism would also help preserve Jharkhand’s natural heritage.
