Jamshedpur, Jan 8:  Jamshedpur police resumed night foot patrolling to curb crime in the steel city. Notably, foot patrolling was stopped for some time because of the state assembly polls. But, the exercise resumed last night following instructions of SSP Kishore Kaushal.

Last night City SP Kumar Shivashish carried out foot patrolling along with his subordinates in the Telco area. He went around the Azad Market area with the team of the Telco police station. During foot patrolling, he talked to the local people and listened to their problems.

Similarly, the police conducted foot patrolling in all the police station areas of urban areas till late in the night.

City DSP Sunil Chaudhary and Telco police station in-charge Prashant Kumar were also present during the patrolling.

City SP Shivashish said that all the station in-charges have been instructed to patrol their respective areas on foot at least two days a week. He said, “The main objective of this initiative is not only to strengthen the police presence but also to establish better communication with the public so that crimes can be effectively controlled.”

This step by the police will not only increases a sense of security among people but will also help in cracking down on criminals.
