The court issued this order while hearing a petition challenging the provision of 50% reservation for para teachers and relaxation in qualifying marks under the Assistant Teacher Appointment Rules.

The petitioner was represented by advocates Shubham Kumar Mishra, Kumar Pawan, and Shivam Utkarsh Sahay. On behalf of the JSSC, advocates Sanjoy Piparwal, Radha Krishna Gupta, and Pinky Sahu presented their arguments, while advocate Rahul Sabu represented the state government.

This decision by the High Court has dealt a significant blow to para teachers participating in the assistant teacher appointment process.
