Dhanbad, Jan 17: The Production and Industrial Engineering Department of BIT Sindri inaugurated the 36-hour research event, ‘Innovathon 25,’ today.

Organized in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) 7.0, the event aims to provide a platform for young technocrats across the country to develop innovative solutions to contemporary challenges.

The chief guest, Suresh Pramanik, Vice-President of HURL Sindri, highlighted the crucial role of innovation in driving development. He encouraged participants to think beyond traditional approaches and devise creative solutions to problems.

Encouragement from Distinguished Guests

Guest of Honour Sunil Kumar (IAS), Director of Technical and Higher Education, Jharkhand, praised the national-level initiative and emphasized the importance of such platforms in enhancing the innovation skills of youth. He expressed optimism about the event’s potential to foster creativity and technological progress.

Dr. D.K. Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the necessity of promoting innovation within educational institutions. He applauded the efforts of BIT Sindri’s Production and Industrial Engineering Department in hosting such a significant event, which he believes contributes to the nation’s advancement.

Acknowledgment of Organizers and Innovation Importance

The event’s patron, BIT Sindri Director Dr. Pankaj Rai, commended the organizing committee for their teamwork and successful execution of the program. He underlined the importance of collective effort in conducting high-standard events like ‘Innovathon 25’.

Dr. R.K. Verma, General Warden of BIT Sindri, stressed the transformative power of innovation in shaping the future during his address.

Meanwhile, the event coordinator, Dr. Prakash Kumar, extended a warm welcome to the guests and provided an overview of the program. Co-coordinator Dr. Rahul Kumar expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and applauded their encouragement of young innovators.

Innovative Solutions Awaited

The participating technocrats will spend 36 hours developing solutions to critical problems through intense brainstorming and innovation. Their ideas and outcomes will be presented on January 18, marking the culmination of the event.
