Jamshedpur, Feb 6: Tatanagar, an important railway station under Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway is likely to get two semi high speed superfast Vande Bharat Express trains in April this year.
The proposed Vande Bharat Express trains are expected to run between Tatanagar and Varanasi and Tatanagar and Bilaspur, said highly placed railway sources at Garden Reach, the Kolkata- based headquarters of South Eastern Railway.
The trains are intended to improve connectivity and reduce travel time, thus providing convenience to passengers.
According to sources, the survey work on both these routes has been completed by the Indian Railways.

Notably, the number of passengers from Tatanagar to various cities of Uttar Pradesh and Bilaspur of Chhattisgarh is constantly increasing. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the Railways has decided to start these two new trains.
According to a draft schedule, the Tatanagar-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express train will leave Tatanagar in the morning, reach Varanasi by afternoon, and return from Varanasi in the afternoon, arriving at Tatanagar at night. The proposed route for this train will be via Purulia, Bokaro, Gomo, Gaya, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction.
The Tatanagar-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express is expected to operate via Chakradharpur, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda.

Jamshedpur is home to many natives of Chhattisgarh which will make this train service highly beneficial.
Currently, trains going towards Maharashtra from Tatanagar are often crowded, making the introduction of this new service essential to meet passenger demand.
