Srinagar, Feb 27: Snowfall continues for the second consecutive day in Jammu and Kashmir due to the impact of a western disturbance. Heavy snowfall is occurring in the upper regions of Bandipora, including Baktur, Kanzalwan, and Tulail Valley, leading to nearly three feet of snow accumulation at Razdan Pass. As a result, all internal roads in Gurez have been closed.
According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall and rainfall are expected to continue across most areas over the next 24 hours. The IMD has forecast that similar weather conditions will persist until March 4.

Rain, cold wave grip lower regions of J&K
The lower areas of Jammu and Kashmir are also experiencing rain and a severe cold wave. Light rainfall has been reported in the Jammu division, while Srinagar continues to witness rain and chilly weather. Residents around Dal Lake are lighting bonfires to keep warm.
According to the IMD, the minimum temperature in Srinagar is expected to be around 2.0 degrees Celsius today.
Rain, snowfall continue for third consecutive day
Rain and snowfall, which began on Tuesday in both the upper and lower regions of Jammu and Kashmir, have continued for the third day. Rain persisted in the lower areas of the valley on Wednesday and remains ongoing today.
According to the Meteorological Department, as of 8:30 AM, Srinagar recorded 7.8 mm of rainfall, Qazigund 12.2 mm, Pahalgam 20.8 mm, Kupwara 20.3 mm, Kokernag 6.4 mm, and Gulmarg 33.0 mm.
