Daltonganj, March 19: The university examination of the 2023 batch MBBS students are to start on/ from Thursday, March 20.
The in-charge controller of university examinations of Nilamber Pitamber University Dr Ravi Shankar and his team have to work hard to hold this already much-delayed exam in March 2025.
Strict Examination Conduct and Security Measures
The Principal of the Medical college MMCH Daltonganj Dr P N Mahto is said to be sincere and genuine pursuant to the conduct of the exams at the level of the university where delay in the conduct of the exams is not an exception.
The Nilamber Pitamber University making a bold departure from the previous precedence, has given Home Centre to this examination. Home Centre is very much an inthing. It’s no outlandish idea. The Nilamber Pitamber University has taken a well-meaning decision to allow medical students to have Home Centre.
The Home Centre is where the students of the college write their papers in the same college where the students pursue their studies.
Principal of the medical college Dr P N Mahto who is the Chief Centre Superintendent of this university examination here at his college said, “We are determined to have a fair exam. The sanctity of the exam will be maintained. Our students who are to take this exam know there will be strictness of the conduct of the university examination.”

Frisking, Banning Digital Watches and Mobile Phones
Prof Dewalraju Ravi Shankar who is the nodal officer of the exam said, “Hundred students of 2023 batch will take this exam. Four invigilators will be pressed in for the duration of the exam which is to start at sharp 10 am. The exam is of three hours.”
It’s a one-sitting exam till March 24. Drinking water will be available to the examinee right at his seat. The toilets for boys and girls have been cleaned. It’s 3-minute wash room time for examinees to ease themselves and back to their seats.
Some steel chairs have been kept in a row in the passage as a frisking point for the examinees.
Prof Dewalraju Ravi Shankar further said, “Every examinee will be frisked. Girl examinees will be frisked by lady cops. A magistrate with a posse of the police force will be here under the order of the civil administration.”
Digital and sophisticated watches are banned. As for the examinees to find out the time spent or time left with them, there is going to be a digital wall clock.
Prof Dewalraju Ravi Shankar said, “We tried hard to buy a digital wall clock in Daltonganj. It’s not available here. We are bringing the digital wall clock from Ranchi. It’s expected to be here by this evening itself. Digital wall clock will be operational in the exam hall.”
Cell phones can’t be taken inside the exam hall. If any examinee is found with the cell phone, the examinee is duty-bound to hand over the cell phone to the authorities.

Examination Format and Monitoring
It’s no OMR sheet paper exam. It’s 32-page copy exam. Examinees are to write their roll numbers clearly.
Examination of the foundational subjects like anatomy, physiology and biochemistry are conducted along with introductory courses like forensic medicine or community medicine.
Chief Centre Superintendent Dr P N Mahto will be scanning video footage of the exam in progress right in his chamber through the CCTV cameras.
