Jamshedpur, April 2: Several places across Jharkhand are expected to witness thunderstorms and lightning activity today, said a Met office forecast.
A Met bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre indicated thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) at isolated places over Western, Central and Southern parts of the state today.
There is also a hail warning for tomorrow, Thursday.

Hail accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, gusty wind (max wind speed: 50-60 kmph) is likely to occur at isolated places over southern and central parts of the state on Thursday.
Thunderstorms and lightning with gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) are also likely to occur at isolated places over north-western and north-central parts of the state on Thursday.
Thunderstorms and lightning alerts were also issued for Friday in north-western parts of the state.
Bokaro and its adjoining areas in central Jharkhand recorded the highest maximum temperature of around 39 degrees Celsius yesterday.
According to weathermen, there will be no significant changes in maximum temperatures during the next three days.
