The Ayushman Bharat scheme covers 1,961 treatments across 27 specialities, including surgeries, ICU care, medicines, diagnostic services, and hospitalisation.

The BJP, after ending a 26-year gap to return to power in Delhi, had quickly cleared the decision to implement the scheme during the first cabinet meeting held on February 20, shortly after CM Rekha Gupta and her ministers were sworn in.

A massive campaign to register beneficiaries under the health scheme will soon follow.
