Dhanbad, April 5: To ensure peaceful Ramnavmi celebrations, the Dhanbad district police administration has banned the use of DJ sound systems during the festival and mandated that all Akhara Dals record videography of their processions.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) HP Janardhanan issued these directives, further instructing committee members of Akhara Dals to conduct their processions strictly along approved routes and avoid chanting any objectionable slogans.

Surveillance Measures Tightened

The police administration has also arranged for monitoring of all Ramnavmi processions through CCTV cameras and drone surveillance. “Even anti-social elements and activities on social media will be under strict scrutiny,” SSP Janardhanan stated.

To prevent any untoward incidents, more than 2,000 additional security personnel, including police in plain clothes, will be deployed across sensitive areas.

90 Locations Declared Sensitive

Authorities have declared 90 locations across Dhanbad district as sensitive zones. Heavy security deployment will be maintained in these areas to ensure that no anti-social elements disrupt the processions.

“We will not hesitate to take strict action against anyone found attempting to disturb the celebrations,” the SSP warned.

Flag March Conducted Across Dhanbad

In an effort to maintain peace and instill public confidence, a flag march was conducted across the district on Friday evening.

SSP HP Janardhanan led the march alongside Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Sadat Anwar, City SP Ajit Kumar, Rural SP Kuldeep Choudhary, ADM (Law and Order) Piyush Sinha, SDM Rajesh Kumar, DSO (CCR) Sumit Kumar, DSP (Law and Order) Naushad Alam, DSP (Traffic) Arvind Singh, DSP (Cyber) Sanjeev Kumar, DSP (Headquarters) Shankar Kamti, SDPO Sindri Ashutosh Satyam, SDPO Nirsa Rajat Manik Bakhla, and officers in charge of various police stations.
