Jamshedpur, May 3: A GST Intelligence raid has been underway for the past 24 hours at the premises of three prominent businessmen in Chaibasa.

The targeted individuals include Nitin Prakash, Pankaj Chirania—both partners in the Jharkhand Khaini brand—and another businessman, Pintu Agarwal.

The raids began around 3 pm on Friday when a team of officials arrived in six vehicles and simultaneously launched searches at multiple locations linked to the businessmen. As of 3 pm on Saturday, the operation was still continuing.

Multiple Locations Under Scrutiny

According to sources, searches are being carried out at Nitin Prakash’s residence in Nimdih and his office in Sadar Bazar.

Meanwhile, Pankaj Chirania’s home is also being searched. Moreover, the team has reached the residence of Pintu Agarwal, an agent of Jharkhand Khaini, and is conducting investigations there as well.

The GST team is reportedly scrutinizing documents at various other locations, including a rice mill and a factory producing sattu and besan in Adityapur.

Diverse Business Ventures of the Targeted Individuals

These businesses are linked to the individuals under investigation.

Nitin Prakash is involved in multiple ventures beyond the Jharkhand Khaini brand, including rice milling, chana dal, sattu, and besan production, along with other business investments. Pankaj Chirania is known to be his business partner, while Pintu Agarwal is also active in the rice and related trades.
