Daltonganj, May 14: The Department of English, YSN Mahila College, hosted a grand gala farewell to its students cum examinees of the Semester 6 batch of the 2021-24 session.

The event filled with nostalgia, celebration, and good wishes for the future, was organized by the students of the 2022-26 batch under the able guidance of Dr. Mashrique Jahan of the English Department.

The farewell ceremony was a vibrant affair, recognizing the achievements and contributions of the graduating students throughout their academic journey.

Students Honoured for Talent, Leadership, and Dedication

Several special titles were awarded to commemorate their time in the department. Riya Ragani was crowned “Miss Farewell,” embodying grace and charm

The “Student of the Year” award was bestowed upon Aliya Naz, acknowledging her exceptional academic performance and overall contribution to the department.

The artistic talents within the batch were also celebrated, with Alka Aditi and Zoya Shamim jointly receiving the award for “Best Artist,” recognizing their creative flair and contributions to departmental events.

Kumari Ritambhara was lauded for her dedication and responsibility, receiving the award for “Outstanding Class Representative.”

Cultural Performances and Motivational Address

The “Best Performance of the Year” awards were jointly presented to Kumari Nividita and Soloni Muskan, acknowledging their memorable and impactful contributions to various departmental programs.

Dr. Mashrique Jahan, the guiding force behind the successful event, addressed the graduating students. She lauded their hard work and dedication over the past three years and urged them to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.

Notably, Dr. Jahan passionately encouraged the students to consider pursuing further studies and careers in English Language Teaching (ELT), highlighting its significance and the rewarding opportunities it offers.
